Through a helpful accident while mucking around with some templates, I ended up "creating" this background pattern. I rather thought that it looked like intestines. So I thought, "why not write a poem about intestines?". Sure, no problemo!

And seeing that I'm a microbiologist by trade (officially, and when I actually have a job. I just graduated, that's my excuse!), I figured I could write about the microbes IN the intestines! What fun! So, armed with some reading material and some microbiology know-how, I wrote this. I may regret it in the morning, but I doubt that. You would probably regret me writing it, though. But hopefully not.

Reading material!:
Study showing how the partnership between microbes can help us to digest and absorb food properly.

That "*" is a reference to Kurt Vonnegut's Breakfast of Champions, isn't it? isn't it?

And you know you're going to have to follow this up with a poem about Staph and "pinnacles of passion upon my skin". ;)

"Honey, I'm Farlander. I'm married to my Library, and you are not it."
:iconlattebleu:
 yeah it is. I was going to use the entire word but then i thought that was funnier and it gave more balance overall :P

"Pinnacles of passion upon my skin"????? Where'd you come up with stuff like that? :lmao:

What about Pseudomonas aeruginosa and "glowing with a love so strong for your flesh, a passion like a fire engulfing you, glowing in the dark so deep..."
:icondarthfar:
You did, doofus. Something like 6 years ago.

"Honey, I'm Farlander. I'm married to my Library, and you are not it."
:icondarthfar:
ie. Back when "I've Got Germs" was penned.

oh :| :lmao: didn't think it sounded like you.

Do you have it or is it with me?
:iconjardel-karabella:
You and Far should not be mixed.

Okay, maybe but only in small doses. ;)
:iconlattebleu:
 we were good kids. We sat in front of class and all!
:iconjardel-karabella:
So did I... it made my contempt for the teachers more obvious that way.
:icondarthfar:
What, "I've Got Germs"? That's with me. Unless you mean the 'pinnacles of passion' thing, in which case you only *mentioned* the phrase.
